2010 Camino

Alberto and I were living in his hometown of Cadiz, Spain, with our daughter, and I was feeling the need to go inwards. Although the town is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, and I could walk along the beach, I felt the need for deeper connection. I have always felt that the Camino awaits all those who, in that moment, feel the need of its comfort and wisdom.

I was doing deep inner work with some good friends, working on healing stagnant energies that were manifesting themselves as stomach pains. I do believe that difficult emotions and experiences too long stifled will eventually manifest in some physical form. Although I had done a great deal of work to integrate, rather than push away, those negative energies within me, I obviously needed to do a little bit more.

So, I left Alberto and Sylvana to return to the Camino, this time walking from Santiago to Finisterre.
